Welcome to FreeFromProducts. A well-being journey, and living a ‘free-from’ lifestyle using fragrance-free beauty, and free-from food products. I call it living free from and thriving.

What is Free-From Living (and Why Does it Matter)?

Free-from living refers to making lifestyle choices to avoid certain ingredients and live better. It’s tied to changing dietary habits based on understanding which foods make you feel good or cause reactions.

  • Free-from-living can mean avoiding ingredients you are allergic or intolerant to, or that don’t align with your health and ethical goals.
  • For me, this free-from approach is crucial for improving my quality of life by avoiding allergic reactions and embracing an overall healthier lifestyle.

Biohacking has also contributed to the rise of free-from lifestyles. It refers to making small significant lifestyle and diet changes to ‘hack’ your biology for optimal health and performance.
This might be tracking devices, using body data to understand sleep, food, stress, and wellbeing. Optimisimg health using cold /ice baths, saunas, MCT oil, whoop watches, tracking, eliminating foods, bone broths, protein powders, supplements, and sooo much more.

The History of Free-From Living

Living gluten-free, or a gluten-free diet has existed for centuries as a treatment for celiac disease, but gluten-free products only became widespread in the late 20th century.

  • Lactose-free and dairy-free came about from a growing recognition of lactose intolerance. Lactose-free alternatives expanded in recent decades as understanding increased.
  • Other free-from requirements, such as soy-free and nut-free emerged more recently as food allergies and sensitivities became better understood.
  • Plant-based and vegan diets also gained popularity in recent years. Though not directly “free from,” these diets inherently exclude certain allergens

Whether you’re new to this journey or seeking to deepen your knowledge, you’ll find valuable tips, planners, lists, resources, downloads, product recommendations, recipes, and beauty hacks.

Why do I have allergies and how this blog may help to inspire you

I’ve been gluten-free for over 20 years, following various tests showing I have an intolerance to foods. Ten years later I was diagnosed with a fragrance allergy after trying a beauty product so I’ve been perfume-free and very careful ever since.

It’s a long story which I’ve shared in another video on my YouTube channel. (see navigation icons at the top).  I did a video sharing my journey and experiences so others can also learn tips or get knowledge or ideas.

Back to the why. 3 things:

  1. I love discovering new innovations and products. I’m one of those people that gets super excited when I’m browsing online or in a shop or cafe and see something that is fragrance-free or gluten-free or dairy free.
  2. I’m continuously learning and being inspired daily to search for healthier ways to be/live. Finding influencers that know about great health hacks to feel good inside and out and enhance my well-being. Understanding the human body, mind and spirit and connecting things together.

I follow so many blogs and Instagram feeds, and I’m a big fan of favouriting websites and screenshotting IG posts.

  3. I’m an advocate of organic living and being cleaner, greener, toxin-free and more sustainable. That includes beauty, food, plants and home products. Personally I find this approach to life a good alternative, and embrace a holistic approach to health and wellness.

One of the most important things in life is health. Health is wealth.

Love your health. We are made up of love, so love your body, mind, and soul.
